Introductory Session
You can run, but you can't hide!
Service Description
Mantrailing is a sport in finding hidden people using a dog by following a scent trail – We do this for fun/sport. There will be a maximum of 6 teams at this session, however only 1 dog will be worked at a time. In between, we will require you to pop your dog away in the car to give other teams space to work - we will always be near the cars so your dogs will never be unattended. Please bring whatever your dog may need to help them settle. The training time will vary depending on how many attendees book on, but a full class usually takes around 3 hours to complete. It is important to note that we may have several reactive dogs on this introduction, which means they may not want to meet your dog, or you, without prior invite. Please be very aware of where other dogs are when unloading your dogs for wee breaks and stretches - Mantrailing is an inclusive sport and we welcome reactive dogs very much, but we do ask that other attendees are mindful of this as well - this is very important to ensure everyone is safe and comfortable. What do I need to bring? - Long line (non extendable) of around 8-10 meters - A Harness, preferably one your dog has not worn before or wears infrequently Gloves just in case you have strong puller. DO NOT PUT IT ON YOUR DOG, just bring it with you. - Really high value treats, I would recommend chicken, sausage, cheese, liver - Any toys that your dog particularly loves - Two small tupperware containers - An unwashed article of clothing in a sandwich bag (a poo bag will also do!) - Wear appropriate clothes for the conditions, and sturdy footwear! We will be outside for the entire session. Cancellations: - Bookings are non refundable if you cannot attend the session for any reason. - You may transfer to another person if you find you cannot attend the scheduled session. - If the session is postponed or canceled by the organiser (us) you will be able to transfer your booking to another available session, or be eligible for a refund - By booking on to this session, you are agreeing to the terms outlined above.

Mantrailing is a very accessible sport. Reactive, nervous and disabled dogs are welcome, but we need to be made fully aware of any relevant medical or behavioural history in order for us to take the appropriate steps to ensure the safety and comfort of your teams, and the teams around you. You are responsible for your dog at all times so this may mean keeping your dog at safe distance from other dogs, taking guidance from your instructor and using muzzle if deemed necessary. We strongly recommend that participants have insurance for their dogs before participating in a class. We reserve the right to exclude a participant from class if necessary. I understand that participation in a Mantrailing event with Positive Impact Dog Training & Behaviour may pose some risk to myself and my dog(s) and expressly assume the risk of any damage or injury (to myself or my dog(s)) incurred whilst taking part in class conducted by a Mantrailing Global Certified Instructor.
